Our staff has the knowledge and training needed to offer diagnosis, treatment and therapy for your animal family members. We offer a pleasant, clean facility for you and the care of your pet. Our staff participates in continuing education to keep current on the ever changing knowledge.
Vets
J. Bradly Garvin, D.V.M.
Dr. Brad has been with Riverview Animal hospital since graduation from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. He also practices at New Castle Animal Hospital two days a week.
Dr. Brad is a member of the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Brad is married to Lisa and they have 3 children: Joe, Lily, and Ella. They share their home with Andi, a rescued Labrador Retriever.
Jamie A. Boe, D.V.M.
Dr. Boe joined Riverview Animal Hospital in 2004. She graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. After graduation she practiced at Green Bay Animal Hospital in Wilmette, Illinois.
Dr. Boe is a member of the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Boe is married to John and they have 3 children: Olivia, Charlie and Harrison. They share their home with Bibble, a French Bulldog and Lenny the cat.
Misty L. Reese, D.V.M.
Dr. Reese joined Riverview Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian in 2011. She graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011.
Dr. Reese is a member of the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Reese and her husband, Nathan, share their home with one cat: Nora, and two dogs: Alice, a Cocker Spaniel/Shih Tzu mix and Zappa, an Australian Shepherd

Venus Guerra
Back to TopVenus joined Riverview in 2004. Venus is our veterinary assistant. She assists the doctor in all aspects of animal care from blood draws and medicating to anesthesia assistance and surgical assistance. Venus is married to Eddie. She has 3 children: Aaron, Ashley, and Brooke. Venus has 4 dogs:Maxx and Stella are both Great Pyrenees, Charlee a rescued Chihuahua and Diamond a Doberman Pincher.
Starla Hibbard
Back to TopStarla has been our groomer at Riverview since 2004. Starla bathes and grooms all breeds of dogs and cats. She has over 20 years experience grooming cats and dogs. When not pampering pets at Riverview, Starla stays busy with her 2 children: Caleb and Lilly.
Dana Grove
Back to TopDana has been working for Riverview Animal Hospital since Oct 31, 2013. She is a Receptionist and helps out in the kennels. She has been around animals all her life and aspires to become a veterinarian one day. She is engaged to Mason and they share their home with a cat named Martini and a Rottweiler mix named Tubby.
Amanda Sharp
Back to TopAmanda has been with New Castle Animal Hospital and Riverview Animal Hospital since 2014. She is Receptionist and helps assist the doctors and vet assistants. She is an avid animal lover and volunteers at various shelters and dog adoption events. Amanda, her daughter Maddy, and her boyfriend Brandon share their home with Syrus the Pit Bull, Beckett the Heinz 57, two Guinea Pigs, and three mini horses.
Valerie Boggs
Back to TopValerie has been with New Castle Animal Hospital and Riverview Animal Hospital since 2015. Valerie is a Vet Assistant and Receptionist. She graduated from International Business College Vet Tech Institute in 2014. Valerie is a 4-H Rabbit Club Leader and enjoys spending her time cheering for her daughter Katelyn during competitive bowling and softball. She and her husband Mike share their home with several dogs and cats including her Rottweiler puppy Lennox she is training for competition obedience and to become a therapy dog.
